Marma Chikitsa (Ayurvedic Acupressure)
This 3-part 90 minute massage begins with a traditional Thai massage or Swedish massage to help the body relax. It then continues with Polarity massage designed to balance the subtle body and open up the energetic pathways. The third part of the massage is Marma Point Therapy, a healing art originating in the Ayurvedic traditions of ancient India.

There are 108 Marma points throughout the body. Each point has its own intelligence and consciousness, which co-ordinate with the mind and body. This ancient form of treatment dating back to between 1500 — 1200 BC involves using the fingers to stimulate the Marma points thereby promoting physical and mental rehabilitation. As with Acupuncture, these points correspond to internal organs and systems of the body which react to manual stimulation. Marma Chikitsa balances the flow of energy that circulates through the body in specific channels called Nadis.

In Western terms, acupuncture specifically works on the immune system in addition to performing an action on the nervous and endocrine systems.

All needles used in treatments are single-use and disposable.

Lymphatic Drainage
A lymphatic drainage massage primarily focuses on specific lymph nodes and points of the body, as well as the natural flow of the lymphatic system. When the lymphatic system becomes blocked, lymph nodes may become swollen. Further, the system fails to remove the body’s toxins. Lymphatic drainage is believed to help the circulatory, respiratory, muscular and endocrine systems. It's also believed that lymphatic drainage therapy can also reduce allergies, menstrual cramps, colds and other viruses.

Restrictions on mobility of the joints, muscles, tendons and internal organs can cause an imbalance in the health and well-being. The objective of the osteopath is to discover restricted areas by palpation and various tests and realign the body by various manual techniques that restore the harmony of body mechanics.
